Curuba is a fruit native to the Andean valleys of Venezuela, Colombia, Peru and Bolivia. It is one of the more than 30 species of passionflower. The fruit is an oblong orange-yellow berry when ripe, very fragrant and elliptical. The pulp is firm, fleshy and with small black seeds. The color of the pulp is yellow or orange.
